The Dallas Pulse made history Saturday night at the Comerica Center in Frisco, claiming the MLV Championship (Major League Volleyball) in a five‑set thriller against the Omaha Supernovas. In front of a packed house of more than 4,500 fans, Dallas completed its first season as a Major League Volleyball franchise by becoming the first expansion team to win the title in year one.
Omaha struck early, taking the first and third sets behind a strong performance from Merritt Beason, but the Pulse refused to fade. Dallas dominated the fourth set to force a decisive fifth, then surged ahead late to secure a 15–9 finish and the championship.
Sofia Maldonado Diaz powered the Pulse with 26 kills, earning Championship MVP honors. Setter Natalia Valentin‑Anderson added 43 assists and 18 digs, while middle blocker Tristin Savage tied a postseason record with seven blocks.
Despite the loss, Omaha delivered a gritty performance, highlighted by Beason’s 20 points and Brooke Nuneviller’s 22 digs.
For Dallas, the night capped off a storybook debut season one that transformed a brand‑new franchise into a championship team in just a few months.
