FC Dallas returned home in dramatic fashion Saturday night, defeating Sporting Kansas City 4–3 at Toyota Stadium in a seven‑goal thriller. After Kansas City scored twice in the opening 20 minutes, Dallas responded with a commanding first‑half surge. Logan Farrington ignited the comeback with a composed finish, Petar Musa equalized with a powerful header, and Kaick put Dallas ahead just before halftime with a driven strike from distance.
Sporting Kansas City leveled the match late through Taylor Calheira, but Dallas refused to yield. Deep into stoppage time, VAR awarded a penalty after Musa was brought down in the box. The Croatian striker converted emphatically in the 97th minute, securing the victory and reaching 18 goals on the season—tying the club’s single‑season scoring record and pulling level with Lionel Messi atop the 2026 MLS Golden Boot race.
Farrington continued his breakout campaign with his eighth goal and fifth assist, while Kaick’s midfield presence once again proved decisive; Dallas is now 9‑3‑6 when he starts.
The win capped a triumphant return to Toyota Stadium following nearly 15,000 miles traveled and marked the debut of the venue’s new East Side renovation, part of a $215 million transformation that is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
