Greetings fellow music fans! Instead of the usual run of the mill list of plugs for the Renegade Band Newsreel, we decided to do something a little different and introduce you to a new band.
Meet Our Waking Hour. From San Antonio, Texas, this five piece band consists of Blaine Beckman on vocals, Mike O’Campo on lead guitar and backup vocals, Rob Gerry on Guitar, Joey Villifranca on bass, and Aaron Harvey on drums. According to the band’s biography on their official MySpace page, several of the band members have toured all over the US and have opened for national acts such as Three Days Grace, Blue October, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Nickelback, Sammy Hagar, and many more.
They are just starting to get the word out about their project and are currently working on their debut album Seconds to Save Her which is scheduled to be released hopefully in the summer of 2010. There are three songs that you can listen to on their MySpace page called “The Secret”, “Break Me Down”, and “Last Song for You”. “Break Me Down” is a personal favorite.
If you like these three songs and want to hear more of their tunes, here is your chance. The band recently posted a blog on their MySpace saying that they have a brand new song that they would like to post but before they do so, they will need 100 “kudos” on their MySpace blog entitled “Want to hear a new song? KUDOS THIS!”. Log into your MySpace account and go to www.myspace.com/ourwakingour, click on the blog entitled “Want to hear a new song? KUDOS THIS!” and leave comment. While you are at it send them a friend request on MySpace and Facebook. To find them on Facebook, conduct a search for “Our Waking Hour”. When you do friend them, make sure that you tell them RenegadeRadio.net sent you. Right now they are at 29 “kudos” on the blog so get on it!
When you have given the band a "kudos" on their blog, leave a comment under this article letting us know that you have done so.
