Syria cranked up the volume on Sunday evening and took her listeners on an amazing genre ride. The first block of tunes rocked everyone’s world with Metallica, Kidney Thieves, Guano Apes, and many, many more. The ride continued with a pop segment featuring a bit of Jem and Real Life followed by a bit of 80s tunes (Whitesnake and Bon Jovi). After a little more rock music including some Tantric and Seether, Syria introduced the Sword of Omen for the week, an unsigned band from Memphis, Tennessee. You can go check them on MySpace and download seven of their songs for free on the band’s Reverb Nation page. Syria played all seven songs and then dedicated HIM’s latest single “Heartkiller” to Lynette.
