Attention music fans: the winner of Round 5 of Dallas vs LA is … ESCAPING GRAVITY! Congratulations guys! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT VOTED! Thanks to you, we are now 5 and 0!
Texas music fans it is time to make your voices heard once again by voting in Round 6. For round 6 of Dallas vs LA, we have Faktion with the previously unreleased song “Miss You” representing Dallas and Vains of Jenna “Insert Title of Song Here” representing LA (as soon as we know the title of the song, we will let you know). LA is so desperate to win a round that they have to put up a band that was previously from Sweden but now call LA home. Despite this technicality, Texas has proven in the last 5 rounds that we have the better fans and we can prove it again for Round 6!
Voting for Round 6 will be E-Request. To vote, go to the “E-Request” page (
www.edge100.com/content_page.php?pid=requests). Enter your name, age, gender, Artist Name (Faktion) and the Song Name (“Miss You”). The cool thing about the new voting system is that you will be able to see who voted for who by name once the round is over! VOTING IS LIMITED TO ONE VOTE PER PERSON.
If you want to be a little more personal with your vote, you can cast your vote by phone by calling 100.1 The Edge’s request line at 661-947-6950 and gushing about your favorite band on the air!
The voting period begins NOW and will run until around Wednesday, March 10, 2010. We say around Wednesday because with previous rounds, the voting somehow got extended into Thursday. If you missed the first segment that aired Friday evening, don’t worry, 100.1 The Edge will re-air the segment throughout the voting period (Friday, March 5th – Wednesday, March 10th) during The Duran Show (Monday-Friday 2-7pm Pacific; Sunday NOON-5:00pm Pacific).
