Texas music fans it is time to make your voices heard once again by voting in Round 4. For round 4 of Dallas vs LA, we have Feel Never Real with the song “A Taste of Truth” representing Dallas and Serj Tankian with the song “The Charade” representing LA. This is not going to be an easy round to win as Serj Tankian is the former lead singer of System of a Down who has been going solo for the past couple of years. LA is out for blood but we will not give it to them because Texas has the better fans!
Voting for Round 4 has changed. Instead of an email ballot like we have had for the previous 3 rounds, go to http://www.edge100.com/main.php and find the link called “ON DEMAND” in the “Quick Links” navigation bar on the left side of 100.1 The Edge’s webpage. You will be taken to a page entitled “E-Requests”. Enter your name, age, gender, Artist Name (in this case it will be Feel Never Real) and the Song Name (“A Taste of Truth”). The cool thing about the new voting system is that you will be able to see who voted for who by name once the round is over!
The voting period begins NOW and will run until around Wednesday, February 24, 2009. We say around Wednesday because with Round 3, the voting somehow got extended into Thursday. For now we will say Wednesday. If the voting period extends, we will let you know immediately. You are encouraged to not only to vote for your favorite band but to call into 100.1 The Edge’s request line at 661-947-6950 and/or email the station at

and request the week’s Dallas or LA band. The more support in email or call-in form the better!
At some point next week (probably around Monday, February 15th), you will even be able to not only call in and gush about your favorite band but cast your ballot for them while you do it.
If you missed the first segment that aired Friday evening, don’t worry, 100.1 The Edge will re-air the segment throughout the voting period (Friday, Feb 12th – Wednesday, Feb 17th) during The Duran Show (Monday-Friday 2-7pm Pacific; Sunday NOON-5:00pm Pacific).

You can listen to both songs that are up for Round 4 as well as songs from previous rounds on the “dallas vs la” page.
